I don’t think people realize just how massive the repack industry has become. I dug into the numbers. Repack volume is on track to exceed the combined GMV of the major card auction houses this year (ex-eBay).
BREAKING: @Collector_Crypt has set a new weekly record on @Solana, with over 215,000 tokenized TCG packs opened last week, and has surpassed $50 million in cumulative revenue.

This suit is now over. The plaintiffs aren't moving forward. From a Fanatics spokesperson: “We said from the start that this was a baseless and fundamentally flawed copycat lawsuit, since Fanatics was being accused of raising prices on cards we didn’t even produce. The Court agreed and ruled that this case was legally deficient. We are happy that the case has now been fully dismissed with prejudice.”
A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by five card collectors against Fanatics, the NFL, NBA, MLB and their players associations. Lawsuit accused them of conspiring to monopolize the trading card market to raise prices. Details from @LarryHolder: nytimes.com/athletic/7145186…

PSA's Backlog Tracker is live with a total of 14 million cards. Roughly 4 million cards were submitted between news of service level pauses leaking and those tiers closing. PSA estimates it will take 5 to 6 months to cut the backlog down to 5 million cards.

Beckett saw a major jump to ~145,000 graded cards in May, according to @gemrate. I'm told the surge was caused by a growing grading team and operational upgrades. Beckett hopes to grow its grading team by more than 20% this year with a goal to reach 200k cards per month.
