Three years. 17 medals later. Still on top. Over 600 entries this year and we brought home 3 more golds, making it three years straight of walking away with wins. At this point, it’s not luck, it’s consistency. It’s dedication. It’s legacy. And I’m grateful to still be in the mix with so many talented cultivators pushing the craft forward.

What is your favorite vegetable to grow in the garden? I like zucchini, but I think I let this one get too big.

This is why I like to grow from seed stock that is accumulated to my environment. I'd be stressing rn if I had newly transplanted clones outside, but let’s guess how many plants I will lose today with triple digits all day long?

Started with 1,000 seeds in full sun. When the heat wave hit, we moved the strongest 550 into the shade. Spent the afternoon with my wife and kids selecting the most vigorous seedlings. Natural sun only. No nutrients. No lights. Just survival of the fittest the same way my family has grown since I was a kid, building plants that thrive in our environment. We landed on 31 keepers to carry forward. This family selection time is special to us, and I’d never skip it. 2026 is going to be a special season!

It’s the final countdown to harvest. This is the time when I drop the temp and humidity, decrease the irrigation times and adjust the nutrient feed one last time. We all have our tricks but what tricks actually work and what is make believe stoner logic when finishing your plants in preparation to harvest?
