A long-term monthly surface water storage dataset for the Congo basin from 1992 to 2015
Our new paper, led by @BenjaminKitambo , is now out in @ESSD_journal
We use multiple remote sensing-based methods to estimate water storage.

The total drainable water storage of the #CongoBasin has been quantified for the first time, ranging between 476 km³ to 502 km³ - almost the size of #LakeErie! 63% lies in southern sub-basins. More: nature.com/articles/s43247-0…
