ALT Henry Ford's Newspaper Henry Ford has purchased the old home-town paper and will retire from the active management of automobile manufacture so as to devote the greater portion of his time to the publication of the newspaper. Mr. Ford assumes that the paper will soon have a circulation beyond the limits of the old home town, an assumption that will prove correct. --The Oregon Daily Journal, 17 December 1918
ALT Ford to Discontinue Dearborn Independent Boston -- The Boston News Bureau, a financial service, said today that Henry Ford will discontinue publication of the Dearborn Independent. The motor magnate, it was said, has issued orders to stop receiving subscriptions. It was the Dearborn Independent that attacked the agricultural marketing projects of Aaron Sapiro, Chicago attorney, and brought on his suit against Ford for $1,000,000 damages. He charges the articles were anti-Semitic. --Times Union, 1 December 1927
