Got to celebrate a great win for SA renters today!!! Ending no cause evictions. Making it easier to rent with pets. More rights for SA renters.
Sadly, the celebrations were cut short because I had to go home to clean for my rental inspection tomorrow 🙃

Today, a bundle of rental reforms passed through the SA upper house 🏛️:
🚫 No more no-cause evictions!
🐾 Pet-friendly rentals without unreasonable denial!
📆 60-day notice for lease endings!

It was great speaking at the #SACOSSconference today who pays for inefficient rental housing in South Australia. The obvious (and true) answer is renters. But we ALL pay for inefficient housing. In emissions, in public health costs and in energy waste.

Incredible news out of the ACT today with the Government announcing new minimum standards for ceiling insulation for rental properties!
The new minimum standards, that come into effect April next year, will make the homes of renters across the ACT healthier and safer to live in.
