Our Gators showed appreciation to our Bus Drivers! So thankful for the work they do with our students, transporting them to & from school safely each day! Students shared messages of thanks within hand-made cards accompanied by a chrysanthemum plant!

#GECDSBBlackJoy Symposium Breakout Session with Brandon McBride. Discussed GRIT and the importance of setting personal goals to persevere and be successful. He also answered one of our own student’s questions indicating there are athletic opportunities far beyond local events!

March 21st is International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The GECDSB is dedicated to building environments that are truly inclusive where students and staff feel safe and empowered to speak out against all forms of hate, injustice and racial discrimination without fear of reprisal, and where staff and students are committed to exercising allyship. Over 500 students, staff and community members have joined us for the GECDSB's first Black Joy, Black Excellence Student Symposium today. The symposium celebrates the pathway and perspective of Black members of the community on what is Black Joy-Black Excellence. We are grateful to the Black Student Advisory Committee and every staff or community member who shared their voices and helped to make this day a reality. 🖤❤💚💛
