The lack of a national spatial strategy for housing at this stage in the housing crisis is astonishing and inexcusable... Yet rarely mentioned. Do we (architects, urban planners, planners etc) need to create one for them? 🏘️🚆

One final point - housing is to be considered within this framework as infrastructure, which could have consequences… but it is also rather calling out for a spatial strategy… eg prioritise housing in key growth areas, alongside eg Oxford-Cam or Lvpl-Manc new train lines…
