🚨 Big win for boaters! After #TheCA's lobbying, Greece now allows non-EU flagged vessels with Union Goods status (EU VAT paid) to get an unlimited Transit Log and skip checking in/out of every port. Non-Union Goods get an 18-month log with current rules 👉theca.org.uk/news/greek-utl-…

Surely some mistake? Either the weather station is broken, or the weather is broken - no rainfall recorded in the last week - can't remember when we last saw that, September I think...

Two treats from @damyscornwall, a delicious chicken & tarragon pasty on a cold & windy Friday, venison for a slow cooker casserole on Sunday, served with celeriac & potato gratin (with rosemary, chilli, Dijon and a crispy fried onion & panko crumb), Chantenay carrots & cabbage.

Strong winds for our RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch saw fewer birds than normal: bit.ly/3tgxjGS - results don't show the others: greenfinches (3), robins (2), blue tits (2), great spotted woodpeckers (2), magpies (2), dunnocks (2), wood pigeons (2), blackcaps (1), wren (1)

We've done it! We've managed Dry January every day this month and, by way of reward & celebration, every evening with dinner we've opened a bottle of wine - I think that's how it works...

'tis the season of goodwill to all (wo)men, so I let Ann have some of her Christmas present a couple of days early... 🤣 Actually, as ever, it was a joint effort - I did the haulin', Ann did the shovelin' - which meant I got to drive the EV, but it still took quite some effort.
