People and planet — always a packaged deal.🌍
From forests to the future of food, the @BezosEarthFund is using innovative tools, bold ideas and partnerships to build a world we can and want to live in.
This #EarthDay, we're grateful for everyone on this mission with us.
As a keystone species, over 350 other animals rely on gopher tortoise burrows to shelter from the heat, fires predators.
Watch to learn how NFWF partners like @BezosEarthFund are working to conserve these helpful builders of the longleaf pine range.
Did you ever think it’d be possible to count individual trees from space? The @BezosEarthFund supported @WorldResources to make that possible together with @Meta.
By harnessing innovations in AI and satellite data, we can monitor forest restoration with unprecedented accuracy at a fraction of the cost and time. A process that used to take over a year now takes three days.
That means less time and money spent measuring impact, and more money going to the people restoring forests, protecting water, supporting biodiversity, and strengthening communities.
Innovation leads to better data, greater trust, and more restoration.

🚀 DINOv3 was the breakthrough. Now it is powering a major data upgrade.
Version 2 of our Global Tree Canopy Height map integrates Meta’s open-source DINOv3 AI model, improving canopy height mapping across forest types and geographies while reducing bias in tall and complex forests.
The result is a clearer view of forest canopy at scale, strengthening how this data supports restoration monitoring, carbon estimation and biodiversity analysis.
Developed with AI at Meta and supported by the @BezosEarthFund.
