Since launch, players everywhere have been hitting the same walls • We just want to play together without obstacles. • We want to join our friends without fighting the system. • We want to choose the match we enter not get thrown into random lobbies. Right now, too many of us are stuck dealing with High-ping servers Broken parties and failed invites Creative community content buried under XP farms This frustration isn’t outrage, it’s love for a series we want to see reach its potential. For years, the community has been asking Bring back RSP. Bring back player freedom. Battlefield has always thrived when the community is empowered to shape their own experience. Server instability, disconnects, latency issues, October 20, 2025. We are investigating reports of disconnects, latency issues and connecting to wrong regions currently. We have been monitoring unusual wait times when using the Custom Search feature to find matches. Our ongoing investigations reveal that some users experience wait times of 4-5 minutes, depending on the mode and map selected. Custom Search prioritizes filling matches to near capacity. Due to the record numbers during Open Beta, matches are filling quickly. If Custom Search cannot match you within a certain time, it will attempt to create a new match. This process takes 4-5 minutes to maximize the chance of finding the most suitable scenarios first. Players that are grouping up, may also experience this more as that search becomes tighter due to having to fit more people into a match. Open Beta, and Battlefield Labs allows us to validate and improve the backend processes that take place around our features and this amount of players has helped us with this for Custom Search. We're working towards improving this experience and trying to get wait times down from 5 minutes within the Open Beta. With an outlook towards fully resolving this for launch and bringing reliability of the experience to the Custom Search function. Thank you for your continued patience as we consistently work throughout the Open Beta at improving that experience!

Feature Spotlight: Custom Search Based on your previous feedback and to give you more control over map and mode selection, we're introducing a new feature called Custom Search. This feature allows you to choose your favorite combinations of maps and modes. For example, if you want to play Conquest on Siege of Cairo, then matchmaking will prioritize putting you in a match with this combo, if available.
