Bishop Seabury Academy’s senior center, Chase Honarvar (6’8”, 225 lbs), made history on Friday night, February 7, by breaking the Kansas high school basketball career blocks record with an
impressive 10-block performance against Bishop Ward. Honarvar’s achievement surpasses the previous record of 420 career blocks set by Jarrett Grosdidier of St. Paul High School (1989-1993). To honor this remarkable feat, Bishop Seabury Academy will recognize Honarvar before their next home game against Burlingame on Monday, February 10, 2025. In a special moment, Jarrett Grosdidier, the former record holder, will be present to pass the torch to Honarvar and celebrate his achievement. Grosdidier was a multiple sport standout for SP and started at TE for the Kansas State Wildcats after playing 8-man football.
