Ahmed Nur (
@BABYSL1MM) is a 6’9 SF playing for Hopkins’ High School (MN) and Power 5 on the 3SSB Circuit, and is one the most underrated players in the entire 2027 Class.
National Rankings:
247: #46.
On3: #51.

I personally have Ahmed ranked as a top 10-15 player in this class right now, and I think you could even argue he’ll have a chance to end up in that Top 5 if he continues to evolve as rapidly as he has.
He’s that good. First off, elite scorer. Elite. Immediately what stands out is his 3P shooting ability. Strong fundamental shooter, elbow stays tucked, ball rotation is always clean, and whether he’s coming off a screen and catching, or is pro-dribbling into a jumpshot, he ALWAYS does an excellent jump of squaring his body/shoulders up to the rim. I mean it’s next level, small detail stuff that stands out when you watch a lot of film of him. Being a capable shooter to run off set screens at 6’9 is pretty rare in this class.
He’ certainly has the ball handling ability to create space for those jumpers which makes him even more dangerous. When you start pressing the 3P line, he can get downhill off either hand and finishes really well through contact. When the ball is in his hands he can get to his spots from anywhere on the court. When he’s guarded by smaller defenders he’s still smart/skilled enough to post up and work through his reads, use excellent footwork, and make the best plays for his team whether it’s scoring or playmaking. Just like his 3P shot, elite mid-range jumper, off the dribble, off the 2/4th post, it doesn’t matter. You see him get active on defense throughout film, he stays engaged there and can give you plenty of positional versatility both ways.
This is a dangerous, top level scoring wing, at 6’9, just scratching the surface of a long, long career.
I’m really intrigued to see once Ahmed puts on a little more weight, works on his athleticism potential a little more, and just continuing to improve as a playmaker on top of the path of dangerous scorer he’s set on, and that’s when he’ll solidify himself as that top 5, maybe even #1 player in this 2027 Class.
Holds offers from: Arizona State, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Washington, San Diego State.
Do not be surprised to see those high level P5, and even Blue Blood programs get involved here very soon.
