If David Stearns believed in his acquisitions, then there's no excuse for not firing this manager and as many of the coaches as possible, but he sharted the bed by firing the last slate of coaches, keeping the incompetent manager, and forcing a new coaching staff on him. Fire Stearns.

What had to have happened is that they made some bad challenges so the Mario Mendoza of managing issued a rule against them challenging, so now nobody challenges obvious balls because the manager sucks.
