🇺🇸 Trump’s 80th birthday coincides with Flag Day, which celebrates the adoption of the American flag.
On June 14th, 1777, the Continental Congress passed a resolution stating the flag of the U.S. be 13 stripes, alternate red and white, and that the union be 13 stars, white on a blue field.
President Wilson proclaimed June 14th as Flag Day in 1916, and it was signed into law as a national observance by President Truman in 1949.

🇺🇸 The comeback king turns 80 today
Trump was born in Queens on Flag Day 1946, the son of a hard-nosed property developer who handed him the family business and a taste for putting his name on things.
Through the 80s and 90s he built the brand, Trump Tower, the casinos, the books, riding out the rough patches along the way, and by the 2000s he had his own reality show.
"The Apprentice" put contestants in a fake boardroom competing for a job in his company while he eliminated one a week with a blunt "you're fired," and it turned him from a New York name into a face the whole country knew.
Then 2016 happened, when a reality-TV billionaire with no government record ran over the whole political class and became the 45th president while almost everyone swore it couldn't be done.
His record is real whatever you make of him, big tax cuts, 3 Supreme Court picks, the Abraham Accords that normalized Arab ties with Israel, and the Warp Speed vaccine push when COVID hit.
He lost in 2020 and pretty much everyone figured he was done, but instead he survived a bullet at a Pennsylvania rally and came back in 2024 as only the second man in U.S. history to win two non-consecutive terms, after Grover Cleveland.
Now 80, he's marking it with a UFC cage bolted onto the White House lawn, fights on his birthday, the whole thing wrapped into America's 250th.
Happy birthday, Mr. President.
