❤️ One Texas family got an unforgettable surprise during a hospital stay.
Mom Alyssa Trinidad captured this moment when Spurs stars Victor Wembanyama and Julian Champagnie stopped by to visit her son, Jesiah, who was recovering after having his appendix removed.
The visit came shortly after the Spurs' NBA Finals run came to an end, as players continued connecting with fans off the court.

I’ve to get this off my chest FANS we do not need to fight other fans that wear different jerseys to support their teams. It’s not only in the @NBA but all major sports and college this is sad a mob jump on kids families parents let show some respect and go cheer the teams on…
A Gregg Popovich story, with the Spurs playing Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals at OKC on Saturday night:
I was new on the Spurs beat in 1999-2000 when my uncle passed away in Austin. I was assigned to cover a Spurs practice and write a story the day of his funeral -- and because I was so new on the beat I opted to miss the funeral.
Popovich got word of this through the Spurs' inimitable Tom James, and Popovich pulled me aside before practice and gave me everything I needed for that day (even though interviews were scheduled to take place after practice).
On my way out Popovich put his arm around me and said let him know if there was anything else he could do for my family. I headed from San Antonio to Austin and made the funeral, and wrote the story late that afternoon from Austin. Some things you always remember.
"Pop felt like he really had an obligation to give him a solid foundation... teach him what this league is all about."
Former Spur Sean Elliott influenced Coach Pop to stick around to coach Wemby, regardless of him contemplating retirement 👏

The last time the Spurs faced the Knicks in the NBA Finals was in 1999.
The Spurs won in five, led by a 22 year old Tim Duncan.
27 years later, San Antonio will face the Knicks in the NBA Finals, led by a 22 year old Victor Wembanyama.
Will history repeat itself? 👀
Due to the officiating performance in Game 2, the San Antonio Zoo has decided to nominate a replacement referee crew for tonight’s game.
After careful evaluation, these animals demonstrated:
• better contact awareness
• improved flop recognition
• significantly fewer imaginary whistles
We’ll see you at tipoff.

Terry Francona on the line drive that hit Chase Burns:
“I ask him, ‘hey man, please tell me you have a cup on?’ and he said no, I was like, ‘Chase, I don’t even watch a game without wearing a cup.’”
