We've got a break in The Muggies coming! It'll still be really humid tomorrow with some storms around, especially in the afternoon. Still warm but more comfortable on Saturday. Sunday's humidity spike is with rain/storms and then we'll see really comfortable air next week.

Some of us saw nearly a month's worth of rain today in parts of central Kentucky. In this tropical air mass, we could do it again tonight and tomorrow and Flood Watch is up until noon tomorrow. Heavy, tropical type storms are possible tonight with the flooding threat.

Our weather has been remarkably comfortable the last few days with mild temperatures and very low humidity. These will be changing over the next several days as we get hotter and eventually muggier, especially by the first of next week. Nature's air conditioning won't last

You may not see it tonight, but certainly over the next several nights of a neat planetary alignment. Jupiter, Venus and Mercury were wonderfully visible tonight. That's about as easy as it gets to see Mercury. Look in the western sky after sunset to catch the show.

Today starts meteorological summer. March/April/May finished as the warmest on record for us on the strength of record warmth early. April had more 80s than May. After last week's rain, we finished as 31 driest. May was middle of the pack both rain and temperature.

Even after all of the rain in the last week, severe drought lingers over half of Kentucky. There has been improvement overall, but with the dry week in the forecast for many of us, we may begin to see the drought expand again. Best rain chances will be south on Saturday AM.

The Flood Watch is extended until late Wednesday night for the northern half of the area. Some communities have seen more than 6" of rain in a week and additional rain on Wednesday may lead to flooding. Be prepared to move to higher ground and don't drive on a flooded road

Folks in Morgan County Stay Weather Aware as the cell that has been warned for may be going through another uptick in its cycling. People in the northern half of Morgan County be PREPARED to move back to shelter. Currently not warned for, but it may be intensifying again.
