I'm glad #BaldursGate3 is a success but disappointed @larianstudios didn't stay true to the franchise roots and add a real time combat option.
Encounters that take 10-20s in BG2 can take 5 minutes in BG3.
Unfortunately this means adieu to my favourite game series of all time.

I think the moral here is you can't release a game with issues and fix it later.
I love #Battlefield as a franchise. My favourite game franchise of all time. Really hoping the next game picks the ball back up.

Word on the street is #Battlefield2042 is โbetterโ now.
My main issue is that itโs still not the kind of game Iโd particularly choose to play.
Iโm just hoping the next game has a more serious, believable, modern era setting in the style of BF4.
I miss playing #Battlefield.

Sure #MW2 is successful, but what are they going to do.... reboot it every year? Eventually theyโre going to go back to making games like Vanguard.
Game reboots are like a champion boxer getting a second wind 15 years past their prime. Itโs not a long term path to relevancy.

If you want to own guns because theyโre cool... thatโs fine. Be honest about it.
But letโs not pretend theyโre going to protect you from โtyrannyโ. Itโs not 1776 anymore. The government doesnโt carry muskets.
End result... you get shot, or you end up in prison forever.

I honestly think many Americans have this idea that Australian government took all our guns away back in 1996... not even remotely true.
They bought back semi and fully auto weapons.
If you want a gun in Australia... you can get one. You just have to prove you're responsible.

The real winners of #AusVotes22 were independants and minor parties.
LNP and Labor could have put competent, charismatic leaders in the top job, but they didn't.
They chose to pick from the boys club as usual and both took a hit on primary vote.
I doubt Albo makes it to 2025.

A big reason I think people stop hating on #Battlefield games once the new one is out, is because they subconsciously realise the game is no longer WIP.
People start enjoying them for what they actually are instead of comparing and complaining about what they could be.

Which is all the more reason that #Battlefield games need to be complete at launch (sans future content updates).
People will always complain about something and demand changes from devs, but the complaint train runs away quickly the more people get on board.
