I once worked on a shoot with Marcedes. As we entered the studio together, a guy on the sidewalk asked him for a dollar for some food (not knowing who he is.) Marcedes reached into his pocket and gave that man $100 no questions asked. I think about it often.

Potential history: The Denver Broncos are signing 41-year-old tight end Marcedes Lewis to their practice squad. If they promote him to their active roster to play in a game, he would become the oldest tight end to play in a game in NFL history. In the Super Bowl era, no tight end ever has appeared in an NFL game at age 41-or-older.
