Have you ever had this thought ⤵️ "If the science takes 2 hours to understand, I might be less willing to read it, skip over parts, or be tempted to find another paper altogether." It's tough, but true. To avoid that fate, MaKenna Cealie, BioRender's latest SciComm Champion, places a lot of value on figures and graphical abstracts in her neuroscience research. Her tips for engaging audiences with her research: 👩‍🔬 Focus on the figures and proactively learn design best practices 😮 Watch out for design pitfalls (overcrowding, unnecessary color, etc.) 🧠 Use compelling neuroscience visuals, no matter the audience Read all her tips in our latest blog post: biorender.com/blog/from-neur… And don't miss: MaKenna's crochet blanket pattern that she created in BioRender! Links to her templates (like the ethanol dosing protocol for neonatal mice, below)

Presenting and publishing. Scientists: Is this enough to garner attention for your research? @Vadym_Chibrikov thinks there’s more to it. The Agriculture and Horticulture PhD candidate is tapping into the power of social media to find new partners and elevate his research group’s work at the Institute of Agrophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences @Agrophysics_PAS. (And he often uses BioRender figures to help communicate their science 🙌 , like the one you see here.) Our latest SciComm Champion shared with us: ➡ Why a visual “hook” is something canonic ➡ The results he’s seeing from posting on social media ➡ Tips for simplifying and decluttering scientific figures …and more. Has social media changed the way you promote your research or reach other scientists? Tell us below! Read Vadym's interview here: biorender.com/blog/planting-…
