For day 13 of our #AdventCalendar, with Christmas drawing closer, we've a butterfly with baubles on its wings. This gorgeous Apollo was seen high in the Pyrenees in the late afternoon when, cooling down, it was dozy and approachable.

An unforgettable day with my @Mariposa_Nature group. I found Desert Babul Blue on the European mainland! There are a mere handful of past claims of it - this is an African species that's an ultra-rarity in Europe. I'm in a state of some shock.

An outstanding day here in the Montes Universales today was crowned with a tame and approachable Esper's Marbled White that, at one stage, shared Eryngium flowers with a False Grayling. 😍
