Our story starts in Georgia. Somewhere between the moss draped oaks, the red dirt roads, and the steep Appalachian hillsides sprouted an idea. That idea grew into ABG. We’d love for you to join us. There’s always room for one more. allthebiscuitsingeorgia.com

For the best tomato sandwich, go open-faced and swap out the usual mayonnaise for rich, creamy Fromager d’Affinois or Brie cheese. saveur.com/estela-tomato-toa…

That yellow needs to be smaller. I know...they tried, tested in some of those areas. The soil has to be perfect and it wasn't

If an onion isn’t yellow and isn’t grown in the region highlighted in yellow, it’s probably inedible. And calling such an onion a “Vidalia” is a federal offense.

A little taste of Southern small town Americana. For decades, this stone castle-like structure has guarded the namesakes of Cave Spring, Georgia, the limestone cave and artesian spring.

Hey! Y’all listen up! Three words: 1. Pecan 2. Fried 3. Pie. Yes, the pecan fried pie Blossom Hill BBQ is shockingly good. We’re not exactly authorized to be passing out Michelin Stars but if you’re anywhere near Rome you need to go try the pecan fried pie. You’re welcome.

“Regenerative Ag” and “Permaculture” were terms you’d only hear in hippie graduate school programs fifteen years ago. It was the stuff of lefty crunchy granola types who wore Birkenstocks and shopped at the co-op. Now? It very well may be a cornerstone of the incoming Trump administration’s USDA platform. If you told me twenty years ago that Salatin, the guy who essentially coined “Eat Local”, would be part of the Republican USDA, I would have been very confused. Whatever your politics, take heart that good things are happening in the realm of healthy food.
Today is the last factory farmed crop of the land we purchased. Once these soybeans are harvested we move to a full @Polyface_Farm regenerative style. @JoelSalatin online class Farm like a Lunatic is amazing and worth the money. See comments for a link.

One of the best Keith Jackson stories is the theory that he got his catchphrase “Whoa Nellie!” from his days guiding a plow behind a mule on the farm. He debunked the theory with one statement: “The mule’s name was Pearl.”

The South needs more of this and fewer of those bougie coffee shops, those fusion restaurants, and those automated car washes. That will happen when Southerners decide to be Southern.

Although the media seems to have turned away from the effects of Hurricane Helene in Georgia, recovery efforts are just beginning. Thousands of Georgians are still without power, water and many basic necessities across South and East Georgia. Please consider sharing this video and scanning the QR code for a list of GA Charities.
