Year 11 – you’ve blown us away! A huge well done to all of you for your incredible achievements. 80% of our students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and Maths – an amazing milestone that opens so many doors for your next steps. We couldn’t be prouder of you!

Students were able to carry out these practical experiments, gaining valuable insight into how scientists amplify and analyse DNA. It was an inspiring and enriching experience that brought cutting-edge science into the classroom and sparked curiosity about future careers.

Last week Y12 biologists had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a hands-on biology workshop led by Dr Priyanka More from @EdgeHill. The session focused on two essential techniques in modern molecular biology: PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and gel electrophoresis.
