In August 2025, during the school holidays, a 16‑year‑old boy lost his life at the hands of his own peers, boys who should have been his friends. Kids who were idle, unattended, and pulled into drugs and gangs because no one was guiding them. This is our community problem!

And sometimes, we dance. Because before being parents, we are human. We carry responsibilities, challenges, and stress that can weigh heavily on us. So we gather to laugh, move, connect, and blow off some stored-up energy. A well parent is better equipped to raise a well child.

Bitcoin is an idea whose time has come, though most people do not recognize it at first. It is often ignored, misunderstood, or dismissed as noise until one small moment of curiosity breaks through. That single moment triggers a cascading effect that changes how they think about money, personal responsibility, and the future. That is the story unfolding in Kenya. You thought you were learning about money. Then you realize you’re learning about incentives. Then psychology. Then history. Then power. Then yourself. Many assume knowledge is the accumulation of answers. In my experience, it’s the gradual demolition of assumptions you didn’t know you were carrying.

Money truths can be shocking! 🤯 On this day, the kids learned that the shopkeeper doesn't just keep the money they receive. The same money goes on to pay suppliers, workers, rent, and more. Money moves. It circulates. It connects the whole economy. 💸⚡🌍 #BitcoinForJuniors

A treasure chest was washed by the shore of our desrt island. Everybody wanted what was in it, so we had to come up with a way of distributing them. An auction. The children would use the shells they had earned through work, trade, and production.

5/ When something is limited and demand is high, people are often willing to pay more to get it. They also experienced price discovery. No teacher set the final prices. The market did.

6/ What started as a treasure chest became a lesson in auctions, competition, scarcity, demand, and market pricing. One shell at a time, our island economy keeps teaching itself.

@Bitbiasharakids isn't just about money. We also do gymnastics, acrobatics, and dance. Why? Because energy must be directed, not suppressed. Strong bodies. Strong minds. Structured future.

Who knew building an economy from scratch could be this interesting? The focus. The negotiations. The curiosity. These kids aren't memorizing economics, they're living it. Watching them discover barter, money, pricing, and value through experience Breathless. Bitcoin for Juniors.

Sometimes, the hardest part of building something new is believing it can exist in the first place. Every founder starts with a problem they can’t ignore. And somewhere between the uncertainty, the late nights, and the “will this even work?” moments… solutions begin to take shape. That’s what DadaHub is becoming. A space where African women are not just learning tech, but building ideas, tools, and infrastructure that speak to real African problems. Because innovation becomes more powerful when the people closest to the problem are part of creating the solution. If you’re interested in partnering with us or joining the next cohort of the DadaHub Residency, we’d love to hear from you. 📩 Email: hello@dadahub.org #DadaHub #WomenInTech #AfricanInnovation #BuildForAfrica

SHIP REKT — Day 4. On this day in our Bitcoin for Juniors class by @MyFirstBitcoin_ , our island economy tackled one of the biggest questions in economics: How do we measure value? Thread. Yesterday, the children agreed to use shells as money. Trade became easier.

6/ 5 days = 15 shells. 10 days = 30 shells. The lesson wasn't that every job is the same. The lesson was that prices help us compare different kinds of work, time, effort, and production. The children are discovering that money is only half the story.

6/ Once money exists, societies must also find ways to measure value fairly. And that's exactly what our island economy is learning to do.
