I have heard some confusion BitcoinII (BC2) actually offers and I want to clear it up. Yes, it has the same fundamental rules as Bitcoin: PoW SHA256, 21M hard cap, difficulty retargeting every 2016 blocks, and halvings every 210,000 blocks. WHAT'S DIFFERENT? I am not much of a chart reader, but I am very very very pleased we have people mining BC2 that have never mined Bitcoin before. We have people using core wallets (even on steam decks). BC2 is the coin for newcomers and maxi's alike. There are only 21M BC2.

Bitcoin has always had it's doubters (@PeterSchiff), but increased adoption over time has seen it grow to $1T market cap. Wanted to share a little anecdote that further reinforces my belief in the BC2 community. A member just set up his own mining pool (with the help of another member) and hit a block on it tonight! If that isn't a good sign of community growth, I don't know what is. What if it happens again?

I have been encouraged by how more and more merchants have been starting to accept Bitcoin payments. I think it signals a boon for BC2. Altering the BTCPay Server to support BC2 params looks feasible. People are growing more familiar with BTC, and we think a second chain that follows the same rules may be more easily adopted.
