The battle was won definitively in 2017, and subsequent years have resulted in applications being built proving it was the right choice (e.g. Lightning).

My local park is being bulldozed over with full support from @hackneycouncil . Please join me in objecting to the planning permission @SaveOurPark2
Hackney promotes "greener spaces" yet wants to remove 2/3rds of my park. This is extremely irresponsible.

Hackney Council plans to fell 13 mature trees to make way for a block of 54 flats on the corner of Southgate and Downham Road. They refer to the site as a 'depot' - it is a green space.

I'm so disappointed in my local councillors. @PollyBillington appears to want to remove the park I enjoy and use every day 😢🐾

De Beauvoir councillors, including @PollyBillington
of @UK100_, have consistently ignored local people's objections to @hackneycouncil's plans to build on a cherished green space. We see no evidence of her commitment to listening to citizens.

Please don't remove my park, @hackneycouncil @pollybillington @JamesFPeters - I use this lovely green space every day so please do not build over it. It will be so sad to not be able to have a free run any more in this safe, enclosed area #HackneyIsBuildingOnGreenSpaces

Hey @ArepaAndCo - it's ok not allowing dogs in but please OWN IT. Advertising a doggie menu without specifying that it's for outside only, is hugely misleading if we can't even bring our doggies in.
It could save everybody time and there are plenty of other dog places nearby.
