How I’ve swapped @fold_app for my bank and earned bitcoin in the process: 1. Deposit 75% of paycheck directly into bitcoin on Fold 2. Spend 100% on credit cards -> soon to be on Fold’s 2% Bitcoin Rewards Credit Card 3. Buy gift cards for restaurants / stores on Fold to earn bitcoin back 4. Pay mortgage, credit card, and all other bills from Fold cash balance 5. Buy bitcoin with 100% of remaining fiat, earning a % back in bitcoin on all my bills

Suspending Fable for all “foreign person inside the US” is wild. How can you even enforce this properly?

KYC is incredibly dangerous and immoral. It must be completely abolished. Financial services was just the start.
KYC coming to a LLM near you.

Welcome to the AI wars. We are now staring down the barrel of KYC and Anti-Compute Laundering laws for frontier models. And this is just for Mythos. What happens when we get further capability jumps? Will the public have access to frontier intelligence ever again? We fought this battle in the 90s for free and open access to cryptography, but it was not easy. The fight this time around will be much harder and the stakes will be much higher.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Unfortunately, this has been foreseeable for a while. That’s the only way to abide by restrictions like this.

Where in the world is Fold? Turning up the heat with this one, literally. When it's 100 degrees in a certain California valley, ice cream isn't optional. Drop your guesses in the comments and we'll give away some sats and/or spins to the closest ones. 👇

No, you don't get it. He does not have $1 trillion sitting in cash, it is 99% stock in his companies. To make that wealth liquid would mean selling all that stock which would swiftly destroy *both* the companies (Tesla, SpaceX, others) and the wealth. If he sold it all, he'd end up with maybe $100b max, several hundred thousand people would be out of work, the companies ruined and many of their suppliers also ruined. Okay, but now Elon has $100b in cash, and can "solve the world's problems". $100b divided by the world's 8 billion people is $12 If you were in charge, several of the most innovative industrial companies in the world would be destroyed, hundreds of thousands out of work, and space would again close to human civilization for another generation. But everyone on earth could have one nice meal and you could revel in your altruism.

A Strategic Bitcoin Reserve is the most asymmetric bet the U.S. Treasury could make. The downside is manageable. The upside is generational.

Anthropic's CEO published an 8,000-word essay calling for government power to block AI model deployments. He released it the same day his company closed $35 billion in private credit. The regulatory capture playbook, explained. Plus: Cashu gets Proof of Reserves, Botanix shuts down, gold overtakes Treasuries. tftc.io/anthropic-faa-ai-reg…

Back to basics. Fiat money is fake and immoral. Humanity is being cattle herded into a debt slavery system enhanced by AI-enabled dragnet surveillance. Bitcoin fixes this. If you don't get it, I don't have time to explain it to you. Figure it out.

My bullish/bearish take on bitcoin is that we shouldn’t blame any entity for buying too much of it, because if bitcoin can be killed by an entity buying it, then it wasn’t meant to be. If all it takes to kill bitcoin is a bullish entity that likes it enough to buy, then go home.
As @LynAldenContact says. If one entity is able to be a problem that kills it, it’s never meant to be more.
