Land should not be used for a 600MW data centre that industrialises the landscape for decades undermines nature recovery. Scotland needs biodiversity and food security. Completely incompatible w net zero policy btw.

Two tier industry and production strategy by the Labour government: ▪️Carbon tax on fertilisers for farmers. ▪️Massive energy and water consuming data centres (often in prime farmland) for the tech giants.

A v cool dining experience at #UigSands at Uig on the Isle of Lewis. Chef Kenny's contemporary Hebridean menu's strong on fresh local produce (@UigLodge salmon, handdived scallops, langoustine & Carloway crab) but the view is what really takes this restaurant out of this world.

There's a new pub on the Stockbridge block: The Captain Darling. Featuring "proper pub cooking with a bit of flair", according to chef Scott Smith, we love the relaxed atmosphere and are looking forward to a Sunday roast. Bonus: dogs are welcome in this Hamilton Place eatery.

Cate Devine dined in a 17th-century room where a Thane was murdered—bullet hole still in the wall. 🍽️🕯️ Knipoch House’s 6-course tasting menu is pure theatre too: scallops, halibut, venison, and a dram of Oban 14 to finish. #ScotlandEats #FoodieFinds bite-magazine.com/post/knipo…
