The New York Senate just passed the Maternal Health, Dignity and Consent Act! This would ban providers from drug testing pregnant New Yorkers without their consent.
Even though white women have similar rates of substance abuse, it's Black women that are tested more often.

In 2017, NY’s Raise the Age ended charging all 16- & 17-year-olds in adult court. The evidence is clear: treating kids as adults doesn't reduce crime. We must protect Raise the Age and ensure it’s fully implemented by investing in youth programs: raisetheageny.org
