On Monday, Minister Rechie Valdez announced the renewal of the $189M Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP) — a commitment that NABC and partners directly advanced in our joint 2026 Pre-Budget Submission.

We thank Minister Valdez for advancing this renewal, and salute our partners — including @FFBCanada and all the Black-led organizations who signed onto the joint submission — for their consistent advocacy.
This renewal is also an opportunity to align PM Carney’s mandate with the realities and leadership of Black communities — making BEP BJS tools for intergenerational prosperity, equity, and systemic change.
