Headed to St. Paul, Minnesota for a house show this evening. I love playing unique venues. Those of you in the folk/singer-songwriter space, what are some of the most enjoyable venues you’ve played or seen a show at?
This December, @WrittentoSpeak and I are headed out for a handful of shows. Visit buff.ly/4fkaaFH for full details. Tag someone below who should check out the show!

A year ago I was at a songwriter retreat with about fifty other writers. I sat down with @Michaelverb and Kyle Borcherding and we wrote this song together. You can pre-save it at the link below, and listen to it Friday! buff.ly/3VO3IyP
I've been enjoying playing music for people around the country. Sometimes I go out solo, other times, I go with Tanner Olson, a spoken word poet. If you're interested in hosting a concert, an evening of music & poetry, or something else, let me know! buff.ly/45LmBqB
Does it feel like everyone is giving away a cybertruck? I'm not, but if you sign up for my newsletter you'll get new music, the occasional story, and upcoming tour dates. I've got another one going out later this week. Stay tuned! buff.ly/4cxqGRk 📷 by @nienass

Not knowing the boundaries of your work can be crippling. Clear boundaries & vision for a project can result in something that might not have otherwise been created.
What’s something you’ve created where you had clear boundaries & adequate “yeses” that’s results surprised you?
Absolutely gutted to hear of @ConcordiaIrvine Prof. Jack Schultz's passing.
Jack was the first to introduce me to ethnography, to help me distinguish between culture's variables and theology's constants, or the divine intimations within cultures themselves.
Rest in peace, Jack

I’ve changed a lot of diapers lately. Maybe this is an odd , dare I say, crappy comparison…but I think the pursuit of songwriting, musicianship, bringing creative ideas to life, is very similar to changing diapers.
Continuing in the small mundane tasks, help the idea, or in the case of diapers, a tiny human, to flourish…for growth to happen.
