So sad. I remember discussing his poems when I was at school and leaning in to what seemed so different from the usual writing we were asked to learn. RIP bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment…

I remember watching this live. Still my favourite goal. The expectation from the crowd on every free kick from Carlos after was HUGE. Ooooooooh, ah, not this time

Discovered in an abandoned mine in New Mexico, a set of Levi jeans dating back to the 1880s were recently sold at an auction for $87,000. These jeans bear wax marks on the legs, a testament to the original owner's toil by candlelight. With a waist measuring 38 inches and a length of 32, denim historian Michael Harris stumbled upon them in the mine. These pants would have been worn during the gold rush period, and Harris vividly described their condition.

Love the Pakistan cricket fans, so much energy! Not one of them doesn’t have a massive grin on their face. #EngvsPak
What a Rugby World Cup final. Our @EnglandRugby women did us so proud. Battled hard until the end and could touch victory but this time not to be. Congratulations New Zealand. What last try from them. #inspired

It turns out the crazy day is not over. I’ve just had a text - after 1.30am - from Downing St saying tonight’s fracking vote was always a confidence vote, that Downing Street made a mistake in telling the minister at the despatch box it wasn’t, and that Tory MPs…

Are people still mad at Nigel Wray and Co for pumping money into a club and always looking after their people? Co investing in business’s that will ultimately give players a sense of purpose and a life after rugby if and when the shit hits the fan. Asking for my neighbour, Steve.

The one thing that will win this World Cup vs anything else. Belief.
Good to see @England banging in a few goals last night. Too much being made out of this run of games without a win. It won’t have any bearing on our World Cup chances. Time to rid ourselves of negativity and get behind our team.
