The richest man in America signed a document that could have gotten him hanged, and when someone sneered that he was safe because no one would know which Charles Carroll to come for, he picked up the pen and told the British exactly where to find him. His name was Charles Carroll, and the colonies were crawling with men who shared it. His own father was Charles Carroll of Annapolis. So when the Declaration of Independence came to him for signing in 1776, a delegate made a cruel little joke. He said Carroll risked nothing by signing. There were so many Charles Carrolls that the King's men would never know which one to hang. Carroll didn't argue. He leaned over the page and added three words to his signature: "of Carrollton." The name of his estate. His address. He was the only signer in the entire room who wrote down where he lived, and he did it on purpose, so that if the British wanted to come hang the traitor, they would know exactly which door to knock on. That is who Charles Carroll of Carrollton was. Here is what makes the moment even sharper. He was not a man with little to lose. He was the single wealthiest man in the thirteen colonies and the largest private landowner among them. While George Washington and John Hancock get talked about as rich men, it was Carroll who topped them all. When he signed, he was wagering the biggest personal fortune in America against a noose. And he was the last man anyone would have expected to be there at all. Carroll was Catholic. In colonial Maryland, a colony founded as a Catholic refuge that had since turned on its own, Catholics could not vote. They could not hold public office. They could not worship in public. The most educated, wealthiest man in America was, in the eyes of the law, a second-class subject barred from the very government he was helping to create. He had spent seventeen years being educated by Jesuits in France and spoke five languages fluently, and back home he still could not legally cast a ballot. So he became the only Catholic to sign the Declaration of Independence, putting his name on a revolution that he hoped would build a country with room for men like him. That was its own enormous bet, made by a man the existing system had already shut out. Then he simply outlived everyone. Thomas Jefferson and John Adams both died on the same astonishing day, July 4, 1826, exactly fifty years after the Declaration. When they were gone, Charles Carroll of Carrollton was the last living signer left on earth. For six more years he was the final human link to that room in Philadelphia, the last hand that had signed, a living relic of the founding that ordinary Americans traveled to see and shake. He finally died in November 1832 at the age of ninety-five, fifty-six years after he wrote his address on a treason document and dared the empire to come find him. The richest man in America. The only Catholic. The last one standing. He had more to lose than any of them, every legal reason to stay quiet, and he signed his full address anyway. We remember the names we were handed in school. We forget the man who made sure his couldn't be mistaken for anyone else's. Which Founding Father do you think history shortchanged the most?

Buy bitcoin they said when it is down, I think you can outperform Bitcoin by owning equities. If I hear one more time that bitcoin was the best asset over the last 10years . I do not manage Bitcoin in the past, I don’t manage any money in the past, you are managing for the next week, month 6 months and year. Be pliable as my good friend @RostronE says. Be willing to change.

Here is my pitch to $RKLB $ASTS $PL $RDW $BKSY investors: We are about to enter the Great Canadian Space Procurement Cycle and you are not long the #1 beneficiary. $MDA Today you're paying roughly: ~40x EV/2029 sales for $RKLB ~11x EV/2029 sales for $ASTS ~18x EV/2029 sales for $PL ~6x EV/2029 sales for $BKSY ~5x EV/2029 for $RDW and ~3.3x EV/2029 for $MDA Taking the midpoint of those multiples gets you to around $85 or ~90% upside (keep in mind $MDA is the only consistently profitable one). The crazy part is that these revenues are mainly existing contracts and backlog, while nothing of the real super cycle growth is taken into account. Analysts are projecting ~$1.85 billion of revenue in 2029 for $MDA ($MDA said they are ending 2026 at ~1.3 billion). None of the estimate stake into account: - ESCP-P (Polar): Canada’s Arctic SATCOM project. A >$5 billion cad program to be awarded to $MDA and $TSAT over the next few months (confirmed by $TSAT CEO, reiterated by $MDA CEO, and validated by Brigadier General Brendan Cook at Space Canada Horizon on May 20). - DESSP: Canada’s Defence Enhanced Surveillance from Space project: Another >$5 billion cad program meant to replace/improve RADARSAT. $MDA is Canada’s RADARSAT/SAR heritage prime and RCAF said RADARSAT capacity is not enough for future military needs and need DESSP. - RADARSAT replenishment/next-gen SAR: Canadian Space Agency said more is coming soon on the RCM replenishment satellite. This is a $1.012 billion cad program over 15 years. - D2D neutral-networks: $MDA said it is developing a new Class M satellite platform, bigger and more powerful, specifically to address D2D. $MDA CEO mentioned during SATCOM show that MNOs, towercos, governments, etc. approaching $MDA looking for sovereign solutions. - MSS spectrum access: In December, $MDA already applied for a broad set of Canadian bands, including L-band, S-band/2 GHz, cellular bands, and Ka/Q/V. - Lunar rover expansion/surface robotics: CSA said Canada is pivoting toward lunar surface mobility and logistics, with potential fleets of Canadian rovers, cargo unloading, infrastructure assembly and surface robotics using Canadaarm. $MDA is currently one of 3 companies contracted by CSA for the Lunar Utility Vehicle concept work. On May 20, CSA mentioned new contract (follow on) awards coming soon. - Sapphire replacement/space domain awareness: RFI already completed with RFP expected later this year for an optical system to replace Sapphire. $MDA was the previous mission prime here. - MDA MIDNIGHT: space control defence platform for on orbit inspection, threat detection, satellite refuelling, cooperative capture/release and de-orbiting, etc. They're mainly bodyguard sats that protect high value space assets. - ESA contract access: Canada committed $528.5 million to ESA programmes. This gives Canadian companies room to bid into high value European space work. CSA even assisting Canadian cos in writing RFPs to help win European awards. - Product roadmap: At Horizons, $MDA discussed it is developing a bigger, flatter, more powerful satellite for D2D that is designed to fit into Falcon 9 fairing. They also mentioned they are working on V2 of their current Aurora satellites and moving more towards end to end constellation infrastructure. On top of that, you have the Royal Canadian Air Force confirming Canada has 9 major military space projects representing ~$26 billion of committed government investment over 20 years, and that they have been told to accelerate it and move the majority of that spend "left". 70% of that amount needs to be spent in Canada! You are looking at tens of billions of potential Canadian space procurement that is not being modelled by analysts. Management already said the company has a ~$40 billion pipeline, including ~$10 billion of down selected opportunities, on top of its existing ~$3.7 billion backlog. And this excludes any future commercial constellation wins or international M&A which management said they are actively looking at doing in US, Europe, and the UK. Every Canadian government official, CSA speaker, military commander and industry leader is saying the same thing: Space sovereignty is now a national priority. You have a massive Canada put on arguably the best positioned space co in the industry - $MDA. 🇨🇦🚀

This is such a revealing post. Massie had 0 substantive accomplishments in Congress to help his district. Khanna’s district similarly has countless issues and is losing people by the day, and he doesn’t care. Yet the big thing he points to is them teaming up to pass the most “consequential legislation in modern history,” which was really just a left-wing messaging bill meant to distract from real issues. The Epstein bill helped 0 people in either district, which is what voters care about. It revealed 0 criminal activity. It was simply an attempt to shift focus from real issues to a case that had been over for years and that the people involved never actually cared about in order to push various conspiracy narratives that they now use as the basis of their entire worldview. Did a bunch of rumors and conspiracies from those files help with homelessness in Khanna’s district? Did they help reduce home prices? Did they help lower the large tax burden? Did they take any pedophiles or criminals off the street? No. But they allowed him to rant about an imaginary “Epstein class” while fundraising and associating with the worst people imaginable, including defenders and promoters of various sexual deviants. In fact, Khanna and Massie were so desperate to pretend they achieved something that they ended up accusing 4 random people who were in a police lineup w/ 0 connection to Epstein of being his rich co-conspirators, including a random mechanic. It’s obvious both men never cared about helping people on their districts. They wanted to be influencers for the bigoted extremes. Massie can now focus on that goal. Hopefully, Khanna will be unemployed and joining him on the podcast circuit soon.

🚨🇮🇷 Iran arrives in Islamabad and immediately says they're NOT meeting the Americans: "No meeting is planned between Iran and the U.S. Iran's observations would be conveyed to Pakistan." Same playbook, every single time. Show up, deny the meeting, negotiate through Pakistan, then act surprised when a deal materializes. Araghchi is in Islamabad. Witkoff and Kushner are on the way. Both sides are in the same city refusing to admit they're about to talk...
🇮🇷🇺🇸 The shape of round two is starting to come into focus, and it's strange... Iran's FM Araghchi arrived in Islamabad today for meetings with Pakistan's senior leadership, with Oman and Russia next on his itinerary. The same day, the White House confirmed Witkoff and Kushner are flying in for talks with Iranian representatives. Both sides in the same city. Both delegations meeting with the same Pakistani mediators. And yet according to Iran's IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency, there are currently no plans for Araghchi to actually meet with the American officials directly. That's the part worth sitting with. The diplomatic infrastructure is built. The principals are on the ground. The mediators are working both sides. But the actual face-to-face contact that defined round one in April isn't on the schedule. Whatever happens this weekend will likely run through Pakistani envoys rather than direct U.S.-Iran handshakes. This is a significant downgrade from the historic moment two weeks ago when Vance and Ghalibaf shook hands and sat across the same table. Round one was the highest-level direct U.S.-Iran engagement since 1979. Round two is shaping up to be a return to the proximity talks model, where messages get passed through intermediaries instead of negotiated face to face. That tells you exactly how thin the trust has become. Iran's tour through Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow signals Tehran is hedging, exploring alternative mediators after concluding Pakistan tilted too far toward Washington in round one.

A short while ago, in full coordination with the local community of Debel in southern Lebanon, the damaged statue was replaced by IDF troops. The Northern Command worked to coordinate the replacement of the statue from the moment it received the report of the incident. The IDF expresses deep regret over the incident, and is working to ensure that it does not happen again in the future.
