Finally wrote an implementation of xml parsing against raw python, mypyc, inlined c (cffi) and lxml and running some benchmarking. results are very interesting with mypyc being very competitive and inlined C blowing everything out of the water
C winning here is kind of expected as most of it is a very very tight loop (i haven't tried the asm /simd version yet). but pulling ahead at 1.7GB/s without tweaking
Kind of nice to see a little side project i worked on now has 8 contributors submitting bug reports, hearing now how they are using it to build container solutions which is what it was originally intended for
This orange plasma display is being powered by just enough voltage to create a dim glow, but the 405nm laser pointer pushes certain areas into a higher output, which remains until power cycled! A plasma Etch-A-Sketch.
I still hope to write somthing needing user loadable code so i can use the userspace ebpf libraries in my app. have been considering somthing like SQL but compiled client side
I will dedicate this weekend to the Metal Gear Solid series♥️
