BIG NEWS! I’m super stoked to announce I have officially joined the newly formed @okaybears creator collective. I’m honestly over the moon to get to work closely with such an awesome team & community & hopefully bring some of my experience partnering with Web 2.0 brands to the table, I’m currently working with Honda, True Protein & Lululemon to name a few. In the world of NFTs, 2022 was a pivotal moment for many, including me. I dove headfirst into this new digital landscape during many MINT, including the @okaybears. It was an exhilarating time, one marked by phenomenal growth and a frenzy of excitement. Projects were springing up like wildflowers, and every day brought the promise of new opportunities and astonishing returns. The hype was palpable, electric even, as the community rallied behind their chosen collections, convinced they were part of a revolutionary movement. However, as the months progressed, reality set in. The initial enthusiasm began to fade, revealing a stark truth many had overlooked: the failure to truly recognize the inherent value of NFTs. What followed was a hard fall. Over the last two years, I witnessed firsthand the demise of 99% of those projects, also the ones that once sparkled with promise. The most hyped and lucrative collections went dark, abandoned or drastically depreciated, leaving countless collectors in despair. This downward spiral affected everyone, including me. My own recent experience with the mint of the Okay Dogs wasn’t great, I had high hopes, but the outcome was nothing short of disappointing. I couldn’t help but voice my critiques about the choices and timing of the team. It felt like a missed opportunity in a landscape already riddled with losses only to push the first mint on @ethereum of @MagicEden . But as I reflected, I remembered a crucial lesson: price is merely a number. In an environment where so much has crumbled, there remains a resilient 1% of projects that have weathered the storm. These are the ones that have continued to row against unfriendly currents, building real fundamentals for a sustainable future. They’ve shown that true value doesn’t just lie in hype but in vision, execution, and community support. I may not be a loud advocate for NFTs, but I consider myself a quiet collector and a visionary. I’ve watched with admiration what @okayxyz , @kaisisokay and their dedicated team have pushed through this tumultuous period. Their resilience stands as a beacon of hope amidst the chaos, reminding us all that the journey doesn't end with a downturn. As I look ahead, I feel optimistic. The future is bright, and I firmly believe that the bears will be OKAY. In a show of faith and support, I’ve decided to add 2 more to my collection. It’s a testament to my belief in the power of perseverance and a reminder that, even in the darkest times, there’s always potential for growth and renewal. The wind is slowly shifting, Keep pushing guys.
