I loved the moment in blockbuster when James Cameron wins the Oscar. Itās like the music crowns the whole story, you donāt need to say much to understand how the arch of the character is completed.

Recognizing the impact #DouglasTrumbull had on my childhood along with @johnwilliamsdoc Bday, can't recommend @Blockbuster_Pod enough for the radio-play stagecraft delivering a storytelling experience around these nascent moments in sci-fi cinema history.

RIP #DouglasTrumbull. Shaped my sci fi dreams from my childhood onwards with his effects work: 2001, Close Encounters, Blade Runner, Star Trek TMP. His brilliant directorial debut Silent Runnings hit me in the gut as a kid and has never left my psyche.
