A sad post that we didn't want or think we would need to share.
Unfortunately, we have had to withdraw from the league for this coming season.
Whilst the ladies game grows, the competition for players is strong, maybe unsustainable at this level.

...& with a small squad of mostly 16/17/18 year olds this would not have been fair on the players, & we wouldn't want to put the club in the position of forfeiting games if we couldn't get 11 or 12 players together for matches. We hope the league considers this for future teams.

As it stands, we hope to have a new ladies team in place for 24/25, but for now this team, some of which has been together for 7 years, most for at least 5 years, will have to come to a, hopefully temporary end.

Now we're into August, it's exciting to think "next month" will be the start of the season.
We're still on the lookout for additional players in all positions. Training (Thursday evenings) & matches at Thorpe St Andrew High School.

It was great to get back onto the training pitch tonight after our end of season break.
