I have stood at several podiums in my PR career, but I can't imagine the weight of being behind this one in the WH Briefing Room, which we saw during our recent West Wing tour. It is a reminder that the flag and logo behind it stands for democracy in the free world.

Congrats to the Knicks. What a dominating run through the playoffs and two historic comebacks in the Finals to end a 53-year wait. Us old Bullets/Wizards fans still waiting to end the NBA title drought since 1978.

Maybe the most unlikeable owner in the NBA gets to hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy tonight.

Babe Ruth made his final appearance at Yankee Stadium, known as "The House That Ruth Built," on June 13, 1948. It was the 25-year reunion of the 1923 Yankees team that captured the team's first World Series title. It was also "Babe Ruth Day" when the ballclub retired his #3 jersey. During the ceremony, the crowd of 49,641 fans sang "Auld Lang Syne" to him. The Babe passed away two months later. #MLB #Yankees #YankeeStadium #baseball

That opening game was everything and more USA could have wished. Paraguay were pretty poor - but US looked fast, sharp, slick and at concert pitch for this. Only caveat - better teams will ask far more of the defence and that’s a test they must pass later.

I’ve spent the last 16 years never quite knowing whether the USMNT is good or not. I think tonight we finally, and emphatically, know the answer.

Jacob Misiorowski of the @Brewers is the only MLB pitcher in the modern era to throw a shutout where he: struck out 15 or more allowed only 1 hit (or none) faced the minimum number of batters

At the San Diego Zoo, an otter family stole the spotlight in the most adorable way, turning a simple visit into a viral sensation. While visitors watched in delight, a proud mother otter carried her tiny newborn pup right up to the glass for everyone to see. Moments later, the father joined in… but instead of another pup, he proudly held up his favorite smooth rock, creating a hilarious “show and tell” moment. The charming video quickly exploded online with millions of views. Viewers couldn’t stop laughing, joking that the rock was “the one that got him the family,” while others praised the otters’ playful and social personalities. Wildlife experts noted that these heartwarming, funny moments are exactly why otters captivate people around the world.
