One area of concern I have with the Oilers forward group as it stands right now is speed. Losing Foegele, McLeod and Holloway in one summer is a big blow.

I may be in the minority amongst Oilers fans, but I have no issue with Matthew Tkachuk winning the Cup. I believe that Calgary leadership sat him down right after this incident a couple years ago and told him to grow up/drop the clown act and since then he’s matured.

Back on March 11th, the Oilers were up 3-1 on the Leafs in the 2nd and my son said “Oh, the Oilers are going to win this.” And I reprimanded him for his cocky attitude and as we all know the Oilers went on to blow it and lose. Tonight, when the Kings went up 3-0, I said the game

was over. My son said, “No, Dad, it’s only the first period.” And (I’m ashamed to admit) I argued with him & tried to explain why the Oilers would, in fact, lose. Bad attitude, bad example (which I apologized for). Can’t wait to wake him up in the morning & tell him he was right.

The refs have a tough job but this is getting ridiculous. Every single game I'm seeing horrendous calls. Foligno just throws a perfect hit and gets a penalty. It makes no sense what's happening this playoff. The 2023 Stanley cup playoffs otherwise known as the ref show

I’ve cheered for the Oilers since 1996 & I’ve never had genuine confidence going into the playoffs that they could win the Cup. It’s different this year. They have size, speed, depth & seem to be on a mission - especially 97. Hopefully a long run begins tonight. 😊🏒👍🏻
