Great weekend for a group of southwestern Indiana athletes. Bloomfield, Shakamak, North Central, and South Knox all represented. 15 U Great Lakes Select Showcase Champs!

Bombers 17U, comprised of several SWIAC boys, sent this coach out with a 'ship. Could not be more proud of this group. Great kids, great parents, great memories. 8 years went by too fast.

This evening I submitted my resignation as head coach. I want to thank Jeff Gibboney for hiring me. I also want to thank my Asst. coaches for their help these past four years. Most importantly, I want to thank my wife and father for their help in rebuilding this program.

I told anyone who would listen when I took over this program that I was going to run it the right way or I wouldn't run it at all. So, as of tonight, I'm no longer running the program. I'm not getting into specifics. Other than to say this.

The IHSBCA has announced its 2023 All-State Team for 1A. The ballots were compiled via nominations submitted by member head coaches & final results were determined by voting of our membership.  Congrats to all the first team and honorable mention selections! @IHSAA1

Brett performed well at this weekend's All-Star games. He was 1-3, and scored 2 runs in the South's 4-3 victory in Game 1. Was 0-1 with an RBI and also pitched 2 innings, striking out 3 allowing no hits or runs in a Game 2 loss, 6-5. 0-1 in a Game 3 win, 11-6. What an honor!

Boone Holtsclaw had 2K's on the mound and filled in at 1B in today's Futures Game in Lafayette, which features top uncommitted Juniors in Indiana. Great experience at Loeb Field.

Couldn't fit all the awards Brett Sherrard earned in one pic. Batting Champion, Top Pitcher, MVP, JL Wilson Award, IN All-Star, Greene County Mr. Baseball, Academic All-State. One of the greatest seasons in Bloomfield history from one of the greatest kids in Bloomfield history.

Peter Combs, State leader in dunks by a baseball manager, also turned out to be a pretty good JV baseball player. Filled in several times which allowed us to play. Even made an appearance on the mound. Big double at Shakamak won the game. Won't mentioned strike %.

Senior Travis Priest was awarded the Cardinal award. His leadership and sacrifice set an example for all our younger guys.

Braxton Clark took home our Top Defensive Player award. His work behind the plate anchored us and was a big reason our pitching staff had a cumulative 2.02 ERA.

Dalton England was our Most Improved Player this season. He took over CF and did a great job.

Laytin Graf was our JV Batting Champion, Aiden Scott was our Top JV Defensive Performer and Caleb Kerr was this year's JV MVP. Great job boys.
