You would be surprised at how often lies and false rumours can get spread around in these communities. It gets worse when they are simply regarded as factual, with only that one view backing it up, and simply going with it without even trying to verify its truth in any way.

Also, don't take this into thinking "never support or believe victims of terrible crimes" either. Balance it out, believe them but also verify what they're saying if you can. If you can't, you can go with their word just fine.

So I normally have Spotify open on my right-side screen with the lyrics so I can have something moving on my side and I enjoy looking over at it to sing along to lyrics
