I did not test this with my draft model. What I did find out is that one predictor I had used previously needed to be tossed.
Powerplay goals are noise.
Biggest analytical red flag for me in terms of Prospects potentially busting is a big variance between Goals/Assists (you want 50-50). Jake Virtanen had 63% Goals vs 0.37% for Assists Draft Year. Alex Turcotte was 35% Goals, 65% Assists. Primary Points a waste of time, use this.

Figure out why Milwuakee lit up Cossa. Also, why did Grand Rapids play him so much against a divisional rival that had his number?
Sebastian Cossa, 2025-26 in 10-game segments:
- first 10 games: .945 SV%
- next 10 games: .917 SV%
- next 10 games: .923 SV%
- last nine games: .872 SV%
Basically came apart at the seams in March. It would be interesting to know what happened there.

The sweet spot for predictors for my draft model is 5 each for forwards and defensemen.
4 predictors are the same, except one goes in opposite directions. Then, there is one unique predictor for each.
One predictor I used in my previous model was tossed due to colinearity

Only 5 AHL goalies born in 2002 had a .900 SV% in 25-26. As you can see from the chart, the goalies that end up as 1A/1B NHL netminders tend to be showing strong signs by age 23, if not already in the NHL.
