Israel calls anyone who targets the Israeli military a "terrorist." Strange. Because "terrorist" means targeting civilians, not military. why is that?
The reason why Israelis have a different definition terrorism than everyone else is because, for Israel, the Israeli military = Israeli society.
practically speaking, for most jewish israelis, they are the same thing. since israel has created a society so inextricably tied to its military that their society and military have merged into one.
Some 20% of Israeli Jewish society is directly involved in war making, and if you add in their immediate families, we are probably talking about a majority of Jewish civilian households in Israel directly involved in perpetrating genocide, a war of aggression or apartheid.
The Greater Israel apartheid & genocide machine requires the whole of Israeli Jewish society.
As of this week, the Israeli military will now count 570,000 active duty members, the vast majority of them Jews.
This does not include:
1) Tens of thousands private sector employees working at Israel's weapons companies (e.g. Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) & Rafael Advanced Defense Systems)
2) Ten thousand "non-core" jobs outsourced to the private sector (e.g. catering, vehicle maintenance, and base facilities management.)
3) Thousands of private security jobs (civilians contracted to work at checkpoints, border crossings or demolish homes in Gaza).
Thus, the Israeli army directly or indirectly employs ~650,000 Israelis, the vast majority of them Jewish. There are about 3.3-3.4 million Jewish adults in Israel employed.
As of this week, ~20% of Jews employed in Israel are quite literally doing genocide (in Gaza), apartheid (in the West Bank), ethnic cleansing (in Lebanon) and wars of aggression (in Iran) for a living.
