I really don’t understand why they’re so against porting and always have to do a weird remaster or remake

Sonic Team Head Takashi Iizuka says he would like to see every Sonic game available on modern consoles, but given the cost of making that happen (not just porting, but remaking), the team would rather focus on new experiences.
He also said if people continue purchasing Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and buying the year 2 content, he mentioned a possible year 3.
