Over the last year we have been working with students from GMAC & University of Glasgow to create a short documentary on Bluevale Community Club π€©π¬π½οΈ
As part of this the students done some research on our organisation and attended our services, speaking to staff, volunteers & service users to find out more about what we do π
Please take some time to watch the short documentary below which showcases our work within the Dennistoun & Haghill community π
As this documentary was created over the last year it also features volunteer & service user Dean Clearie who we sadly lost earlier in the year therefore this video is also dedicated to Dean β€οΈ

We are pleased to announce that the ballot for Summer Time Blast 2026 by Bluevale Community Club is π‘π’πͺ π’π£ππ‘! π
This means you can now enter your child into the ballot for this years FREE summer holiday programme for 5-12 year olds π€©
This years summer club will take place every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from Tuesday 30th June until Thursday 6th August with each day starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm β¨
As always there will be loads of fun trips and activities with breakfast & lunch also provided for all children attending π
The ballot for this years summer club is open until Monday 15th June, you can enter your child into the ballot at the link below β¬οΈ

We are pleased to announce that as part of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Festival we will be holding a FREE 10 week programme of boxing classes π₯
Starting 26th May we will be running a class for 8-12 year olds every Tuesday from 5pm until 6pm as well as a class for all of the family every Thursday from 5pm until 6pm π€©
Both of these classes will take place in our boxing gym at 1 Finlay Drive, G31 2BD π
Our Tuesday class is for children aged 8-12 years old only, parents leave chikdren at this class β¨
While our Thursday class is for all of the family with children aged 4 , all children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult throughout this class and the full family can take part π

A reminder that our FREE Mini Jabberz boxing class for kids born 2014-2017 is currently accepting new members π€©
It takes place every Wednesday from 4pm until 5pm at 1 Finlay Drive, G31 2BD π
This is the main pathway for children into Bluevale Boxing Club with some of our current and past Mini Jabberz recently featuring on our home show and travelling across the UK & Ireland to box π

As the lighter nights and nicer weather begin weβre pleased to announce the return of our FREE community led bike rides π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ΄
This free club takes place every Thursday from 6pm until 8pm meeting in the car park at 30 Abernethy Street, G31 3SZ just next to the blue containers π²
There will be a different route planned each week with all abilities welcome π
There is also no need to have your own bike as we can provide a bike, helmet and hi viz vest for each ride π€©

We also had two of our mini jabbberz invited to move up to our main boxing classes to train with the rest of our boxers as they have made good progress π€©

We had a brilliant night on Friday for our boxing clubs home show which took place in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park with over 200 people coming along to support π€©
It was a great evening of Olympic style boxing with clubs travelling from across Scotland and Ireland to compete against our boxers π₯
All of the boxers put on a good display with some really good bouts on show, there were boxers of all different ages from 8 years old and upwards showing off their talents π
Not only was it a great night of boxing but it was also a great night of fundraising for Bluevale Boxing Club to help us keep the sport as accessible as possible for all young people πͺ

Itβs been a busy week for Bluevale so better late than never with this postβ¦ π
Thursday was the last day of our FREE 2026 Easter school holiday programme for 5-12 year olds with loads of children attending and having a great day π£
To start the day we had some cereal bars for breakfast as we were on the move π₯£
For the last day of this years programme everyone headed to @BlairDrummondSP where we had loads of fun seeing all the different animals and playing in the different play areas πππ¦π¦π
For lunch we had options of cheese burger, beef burger or chicken nuggets with juice and snacks π

Yesterday was another fantastic day at our FREE Easter school holiday programme for 5-12 year olds with loads of local children attending and having great fun π£
As we always do, we started the day the right way with some breakfast π₯£
This years Easter holiday programme is based at Whitehill Secondary School π
All of our groups spent the morning having a fun sports day on the big pitch with loads of different activities π€©
In the afternoon our 5-7 groups headed to Alexandra Park and our 8-9 group had some fun in the gym hall playing dodge ball as well as other games βοΈ
While our 10-12 group headed to Clydeside Easter Funland where they had a thrilling time on all the different carnival rides π’π‘π
For yesterdays lunch we had options of tomato pasta with meatballs and garlic bread, chicken burgers with potato wedgies and salad as well as some snacks and juice π

Today was the first day of the second week of our FREE Easter school holiday programme for 5-12 year olds with loads of local children attending and having fun π£
This years Easter club is based at Whitehill Secondary School π
As always we started the day the right way with some tasty breakfast π₯£
Our 5-7 groups then spent the morning playing games in the gym hall and doing some arts & crafts in the dinner school area ππ¨
For our 8-9 group they spent the morning at Flip Out Glasgow where they had loads of fun flipping around and using all the different attractions π€ΈββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπ€Έ
While our 10-12 group spent the morning having loads of fun on the football pitch running around and playing football β½οΈ
In the afternoon all groups headed to the gym hall for a Bluevale Disco with loads of dancing, fun and everyone receiving an Easter egg πΊππͺ©
For todays lunch we had options of sausage and mash with gravy, fish bites with potato smiley faces along with peas and carrots as well as chicken & rice soup, we also had yoghurt and juice afterwards π

We had an absolutely AMAZING day yesterday for the final day of the first week of our FREE Easter school holiday programme for 5-12 year olds with loads of local children attending and having fun π£
To end the first week everyone went on a day trip to Heads of Ayr Farm Park where they had loads of fun seeing all the different animals and playing in all the different play areas ππ€©
For lunch we had options of chicken nuggets, cheese burger or beef burger with chips as well as some snacks and juice π
