Happy Birthday to the late Claude Overton, out of Temple, Oklahoma ( and McAlester High School) & @ECUTigersMBB 6’2 195; At @ECUTigersMBB Overton was the leading scorer on the team that finished as the national runner-up in the 1950 @NAIA Tournament—he was the Oklahoma Collegiate Conference scoring champion that season, averaging 21.6 points per game—Overton was later inducted into the @NAIA Basketball Hall of Fame in 1974; 1 year @NBA career; After his playing career, Overton had a long coaching career spanning 18 seasons at various high schools and colleges in Oklahoma; He is the father of former @OU_MBBall standout @BoOverton ; 12-16-1927 to 4-29-1996 ( aged 68)….
