Had to say goodbye to my little buddy Ziggy this afternoon. He began having seizures over a month ago, but they were controlled by medication. Medication was no longer working as of this morning so he had to be put down. Tough decision for me.
Official survey today of the south Texas event near Victoria, TX, which occurred yesterday, reveals an EF1 tornado in addition to the 6.5 mile width and 40 mile path of straight line winds.

I guess after spending over four hours in tornado warning cones yesterday, I will have to opt for ice balls falling from the sky with a very low end tornado risk.
Here is a 4x sped up version of what I encountered earlier today at Lake Somerville, TX. Right, there was no tornado chance here today.....according to.....oh, never mind. I've been in this rodeo for a long time so maybe I know a thing or two!
I played a hunch close to home today and actually saw a brief tornado out of this about 10 minutes ago. The warning was issued after I immediately reported what I was seeing.
