I'M IN AMERICA! Visiting a key Muslim-heavy swing State. #USElection2024 ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ I've arrived in Dearborn, Michigan, to witness the U.S. presidential election and also to learn how powerful the Muslim vote is and whether it will sway the outcome. American Muslims are traumatised by the Gaza genocide and appalled at the U.S. support for Israel. Can American Muslims force a difference?

Today I returned to the same Republican wall mural in Belfast which I saw in 2020. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช It sparked great emotion seeing art dedicated to the beautiful souls of Khaled Nabhan with his granddaughter Reem. ๐Ÿ’” The Irish have experienced the pain of brutal occupation. The Palestinain cause is honoured here.
Replying to @Bob_cart124
The Irish have experienced British colonialism firsthand. Therefore, solidarity for other oppressed peoples is common here. ๐Ÿ‡พ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ #Belfast #Ireland #Yemen #Palestine

Huge turnout in Belfast for an anti-racism protest amid recent racist violence by the far-right. Belfast residents of all backgrounds have come together to reject hate and stand with Muslims, refugees and minorities. The crowd also expressed solidarity for the victim of Monday's horrific knife attack.

Not everyone in Belfast supports far-right racism. A local British/Irishman and convert to Islam, Jason, sends a message of solidarity to local Muslims living in fear of more Islamophobic attacks. "So do not fear them - fear me if you are believers" Quran 3:175

To see just how dangerous it is for Muslims and other minorities living in Belfast, a city plagued by militant far-right racist Unionist gangs, is truly shocking. Muslims here are terrified for a reason. They are collectively being blamed for the violent actions of one criminal. Racists have used the tragedy as an excuse to launch a pogrom - they want to chase immigrants out.
5Pillars correspondent Robert Carter visits a street in Belfast where a halal supermarket was burned down by a racist mob during the recent violence. Sham Supermarket is located on a predominantly Protestant Unionist street where far-right violence is fairly common.

"There are groups in Belfast who call themselves vigilantes. They act like the Gestapo, going around stopping and harassing immigrants." 5Pillars spoke with a Muslim community leader in Belfast who warned that the recent anti-Muslim violence isn't a random outburst; rather, it is part of a long-running campaign of hate by far-right Unionist gangs in the city. Kashif Akram of the Belfast Islamic Centre urged the media and politicians to stop blaming an entire community for the crimes of individuals following Monday's knife attack. @Bob_cart124

I get far-right hate messages like this all the time. Threats to "deal with me" once the Muslims have all been deported or worse... FYI: Defending the rights of minorities, Muslims and religious people in Britain is a hill I'm prepared to die on. I will never be cowed by racist bullies.

Exploring some of the areas worst hit by racist anti-Muslim violence in Belfast, the Unionist strongholds express passionate allegence to Israel with flags tied to lamp posts.

My first report from Belfast, a city where local Muslims are gripped by fears of another racist pogrom.
Burned halal shops, mosques guarded by armed police and talk of racist paramilitary activity. Just a taste of the terror Muslims are witnessing in Belfast as 5Pillars correspondent @Bob_cart124 discovers on his first day arriving in the city, where he finds a community under siege as Muslims retreat into their homes, terrified of continued attacks after days of violence and anti-Muslim pogroms following the June 8 knife attack. 5pillarsuk.com/2026/06/12/muโ€ฆ

Day 1 in Belfast, and its clear this is a city were Muslims are gripped by fear. Mosques guarded by armed police around the clock. Worshippers told to pray and head straight home. Burned-out halal shops still scar the streets. People are afraid to speak. Afraid to be seen. Afraid to leave their homes. The threat of far-right aggression is very real.

I've arrived in Belfast to investigate reports of anti-Muslim pogroms amid the ongoing unrest in the city. Far-right agitators and right-wing voices across Britain, such as Tommy Robinson, Reform UK, and GB News, have been accused of fanning the flames, using anger over a recent knife attack to push an anti-Islam agenda. The violence comes after a shocking knife attack on a local man by a Sudanese man on June 8. More coverage to come...
Robert Carter has arrived in Belfast to talk to local Muslims who are living in fear amid racist and Islamophobic pogroms whipped up by the far-right.

A Muslim woman. A sledgehammer. Her neighbour came at the house with it. She was home with her three children. East London. This week. The night before: a masked man firebombed an imam's home in Bolton. Wife and four children inside. Same week in Belfast: "ALL MUSLIMS OUT" sprayed on a stadium wall. Next to it, a crosshair. MP Claire Hanna called it on the BBC: "a race-based pogrom." This same week, Keir Starmer fast-tracked new legislation. His words: "The recent wave of antisemitic attacks has shocked the nation." Ask yourself one question. Will this new law stop the man with the sledgehammer? Credit: @5Pillarsuk

The left really canโ€™t help itself. Whenever Muslim voters put religious disagreements to one side in the name of โ€œstopping the right,โ€ someone in the woke camp inevitably stirs up another anti-religious row. Then people wonder why so many Muslims see politics as a pointless game.

They hunted their neighbours in Belfast last night - and it continues tonight. One man's crime, turned into a whole community's punishment. We've seen this playbook before - and we refuse to let it run unanswered. #belfast Watch and share.

The Green Party are doing a fantastic job of reminding Muslims why they shouldn't vote for them.

"Right now Muslims in Northern Ireland are scared. They're scared for their homes, scared for their children and scared about what comes next." 5Pillars spoke to a Muslim community member in Northern Ireland who told us of an organised plot over the past few years to radicalise people against Muslims. He spoke on condition of anonymity because of safety fears. We have also distorted his voice.

My message on the Belfast unrest: We must not allow far-right agitators and anarchists to engulf Britain in the flames of hate. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡งโ˜ช๏ธ Once the fire starts it will burn us all!

Putting my opposition to the entire Oxford Union's anti-Islam debate to one side, the fact that Jacob Rees Mogg is on of the speakers defending Islam is just insane! The decision to have Rees Mogg, a Catholic Tory tosspot and GB News presenter, speaking for the Islam side is baffling. Why is someone from a channel known for relentlessly platforming anti-Muslim narratives, a non-expert on Islam and Muslims, who sat as a member of a 'nasty party' widely condemned for Islamophobia, being presented as fit candidate to defend Islam? BEYOND A JOKE!

This is what the far-right - Robinson, Reform, Lowe - will turn Britain into if they are allowed to seize power. The fires of hate burn everything in their path, and once the fire starts, it will be difficult to put out. It will spread, and we could all get burned. Politics built on division and hatred must never be allowed to win.
