Hi. Like a lot of people I haven’t been posting here much. But here is something that I couldn’t contain myself about, and it’s one of the best new versions of old music ever: The Replacements ‘Tim’ in its Let It Bleed deluxe edition.

I’ve loved all of @Rhino_Records deluxe editions of Replacements albums, but maybe due to ‘Tim’ and its songs resonating in place and time in my music universe, this one is at another level. Looking forward to deeper dives through the weekend!

Chicago #WhiteSox closer Liam Hendriks underwent successful surgery this morning to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow in a procedure performed by Dr. Keith Meister at TMI Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery in Arlington, Texas.

I thought this would be a fun night out: Michael Shannon singing R.E.M.’s ‘Murmur’ with a band led by Jason Narducy and Jon Wurster playing Bill Berry. And it far exceeded my wildest expectations.

I knew I was going to miss 4 or 5 hours of Pitchfork Fest today due to a conflict with a professional conference, but the weather evacuation is making it easier than expected to stay home.
