Throughout the regions in which we work, from Rwanda to Nicaragua, there are many powerful examples of women leading the way in agricultural and artisanal sectors which have long been dominated by men.
That is why we believe that gender equality has a vital part to play in strengthening communities and promoting economic growth . In fact, the
@FAO (UN Food and Agriculture Organisation) estimates that closing the gender gap in agriculture would reduce the number of undernourished people by up to 150 million.
So, in celebration of
#InternationalWomensDay on March 8th, 2024, we want to shine the spotlight on the inspiring female figures who are reshaping their narrative and paving the way for a new generation of women leaders in their industry.
