Coming to the end of our hour and what a busy one - both here and on BlueSky. As always, thanks for your freindship and company and have a great book (and other) week
Going live with this week's #devonbookhour, chatting about books from the 1970 s and 2010s PLUS what are you reading this week? I've just started Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Echo. A complicated start. I wonder if it continues that way. Anyone read it?
We'll be live from 8PM with this week's #devonbookhour. Alongside anything else you want to talk about I'd love to hear about books you love (or not) from the 1970s and the 2010's. Here are a few from 2010s to whet your appetite... see you in 10 minutes
Back in the UK for this evening's #devonbookhour. Aside from catching up on your book news I'm continuing our series of books from 2 decades - this week the 1970s and 2010s. A few from the 1970s to whet your appetite...
Am enjoying talking with @AmandaC42230148 and her publisher @littlebrown about her forthcoming book, High and Low (keep watching here for a giveaway draw which we'll be offering at the weekend), which s getting fabulous reviews from some amazing writers. Check out a few here...

Books read there - L'Instant Present by Guillaume Musso, How We Disappeared by Jing Jing Lee and Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Beaches and books - great combination. How's your reading been? #devonbookhour
Now reading Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. 75% through. Enjoyed the building tension until it started to come to a head and, like many 'horror' stories, it's got a bit silly and I'm struggling - what horror stories have worked for you? #devonbookhour
Finished reading How We Disappeared by Jing Jing Lee - based on true accounts of the 'comfort women' who were prisoners of the Japanese in WW2 Singapore. Very moving - especially the shame that made re-intigration so difficult after the war - a double torture. #devonbookhour
Gratuitous picture of one of the best beaches in the world. Myrtos, Kephalonia. Its 10PM here so will only be online for 15-20 mins. Hope your book week has been a good one. Anyone here for #devonbookhour this week?
Hi everyone. Calling from Kephalonia. I'll be here from 8PM GMT (10PM here) for a little while to say hello and chat books as usual on #devonbookhour . If you're around do drop in
